About Our Leader...

Michael Armstrong Newson is a seasoned communications professional. Calling upon his experience as a television news personality (news anchoring and reporting), coupled with his automotive marketing experience, while employed at Ford Motor Company, Michael knows first-hand, how to interact with the media. He not only knows how to get a message across, but in the most favorable fashion.

Michael began his career, twenty years ago, while still a junior in high school, at Detroit’s WJLB radio station. He served as the “Strong Song Teen Reporter”. While in college, he was a contributing writer and reporter to Kentucky State University’s, student-run, school newspaper, "The Thorobred News".  The following year, he transferred and functioned in the same role, during his junior and senior year at Western Michigan University's school paper, "The Western Herald".

After college, Michael accepted a job offer with Ford Motor Company within the marketing, sales and service unit, as a verbiage and phraseology specialist, where his role ranged from creating and editing the layout of sales brochures, to writing press releases for government mandated recalls and owner notification programs. He was also selected to serve as the vehicle brand spokesperson for Lincoln-Mercury, during the premiere of Detroit’s North American International Auto Show.

Next, Michael began working independently as an announcer for conventions, and trade-shows, which led to on-air radio opportunities with Detroit’s WGPR Radio, AAA of Michigan Icicle Network and Metro Traffic. Later, he transitioned to being in front of the camera, as a news reporter and anchor. His television career ranges from working for an independent news outlet in Chicago, to working on-air at the NBC affiliate in Detroit, the FOX affiliate in Toledo, Ohio, as well as on cable. Michael is also a former english instuctor from Detroit.

With this wide range of experience relating to marketing, teaching and television news, Michael, our founder and director  of operations, possesses a great deal of knowledge and expertise; and is enthused to demonstrate these talents with Micharmson Mass Communications, Inc.
